Cement volume was down on the previous year and below the market development, after having recorded strong increases particularly in the second half of 2003. With volume growth of around 5 %, the Polish ready-mixed concrete market developed positively; Dyckerhoff recorded growth above the market level. In the Czech Republic, gross domestic product rose by 3.5 % in 2004. With an 8.3 % increase construction investments recorded again a significantly higher growth to which all sectors contributed once more. As a result of the continuing accommodation shortage, above-average growth was recorded in residential construction. Private investments in commercial construcGrowth in construction industry continued in all markets tion advanced. Moreover, public investments in health and education systems as well as investments relating to highway construction and rail and local transport were above prior year. Cement consumption rose by around 6 % to 4.3 million t. As a result of increased imports, the intensity of competition has risen significantly. As a result, the volume of our plant in Hranice could not fully participate in the positive market development. Volume in the ready-mixed concrete market grew by around 7 % due to major projects. In the Ukraine and Russia, the overall economies again continued to develop positively. The gross domestic product of the Ukraine increased by 12.0 % and that of Russia by 7.0 %. Fazio BAC is a form of lung cancer frequently negative with [18F]FDG-PET. Preliminary PET data in BAC tumors with both [18F]FDG and [11C]Choline suggested that the information derived from combining the two tracers, may help distinguish BAC [18F]FDG negative and [11C]Choline positive ; from an inflammatory lesion [18F]FDG and [11C]Choline positive ; . In addition, the simultaneous use of two PET tracers evaluating two different metabolic pathways, together with histopathologic, immunohistochemical and gene expression analysis, may help to improve understanding of tumour in-vivo behaviour. In BAC tumour tissue, the absence of Glut-1 protein and corresponding mRNA, is a cause for the negative [18F]FDG-PET findings. Immunohistochemical and molecular findings confirmed the biological behaviour of BACs, namely: these are usually well differentiated carcinomas with lepidic growth and low level of glycolysis, responsible for the absence of [18F]FDG uptake. Conversely, such behaviour could be detected by using [11C]Choline, whose uptake is regulated by phospholipid metabolism rate.
